Weidmüller Surge arrester

Multi-pole lightning surge arrester according to the requirements of Class I as per IEC 61643-11, EN61643-11:2013. The arrester made of V0 material serves as a lightning protection potential equalization during the transition from interface 0 to 1 (according to IEC 1312-1) and is used in applications according to IEC 61643-12. By using a non-blow-off spark gap in combination with a high-performance varistor, the requirements for the verifiability of surge protection devices of Class I from the VDEW guideline are met. The arrester is installed close to the supply of the system to be protected in a standard installation or distribution enclosure. The VPU I 1+1 R 400V/25kA is used in single-phase networks. It features a thermal disconnection device for the varistor. When protection is no longer present, the color in the display window changes from green to red. Additionally, the operational status is indicated by a potential-free signaling contact (changeover).
