The starting point for its development was to ensure optimal safety as well as improved performance and durability. Thanks to the unique lamella technology with more lamellas in various shapes, directions, and tread depths, the tire offers exceptionally good grip on wet roads, snow, and ice. The stable center area provides additional stability and better handling on both wet and dry roads. The Vredestein Snowtrac 5 features a stealth design: the longitudinal and lateral grooves in the tread have different surfaces that dampen tire noise both inside and outside.

Mit einem befriedigenden Gesamturteil steht der Vredestein Snowtrac 5 am Ende noch relativ ordentlich dar. Von der Spitze ist das Modell jedenfalls nicht weit entfernt, zumindest nicht, wenn es um die Platzierung auf der Bestenliste geht. Insgesamt betrachtet ist der Vredestein Snowtrac 5 ein empfehlenswerter Reifen, der keine gravierenden Mängel aufweist und seiner Aufgabe als Winterreifen in vollem Maße gerecht wird. Besonders gut gefiel die Performance im Test auf trockener Fahrbahn.
