Voltcraft Current clamp switch cabinet

The particularly slim jaws of this current clamp make it much easier to grip individual cables between the cable duct and the contactor. This is the solution for tightly laid cables in the control cabinet. The specially shaped, slim pliers jaws facilitate gripping tightly wired cables in control cabinets. With conventionally shaped pliers, the cable to be measured usually has to be pulled out of the cable duct. Not so with the Voltcraft VC-337, which simply reaches through between adjacent cables.

The measuring hole has a diameter of 5.5mm, allowing for wires up to 6mm² to be tapped. The pliers offer a very good compromise between the size of the pliers mouth and the safety class with corresponding insulation. The pliers can also be used at an angle due to the shape of the opening.

The open pliers have a stop, preventing cables from going too deep into the mouth of the pliers. The 2-component housing with integrated soft-rubber protection ensures the meter can withstand tough use, and the rubberized housing shell makes it very easy to grip.

The current clamp enables non-contact DC and AC current measurement. The advantage of this measuring method is the clamp function, which allows current measurements to be carried out without the usual switching off and disconnecting of the circuit, effectively avoiding system downtimes.

True RMS value measurement enables the exact measurement of unbalanced voltages and currents that deviate from the basic shape of the sine wave. Unbalanced voltages are mostly found in power controllers such as dimmers, speed controllers, clocked switching controllers, pulsed chargers, or electronic speed controllers in model making, among others.
