Product details
Thai basil is perfect as a side dish for both spicy and non-spicy food. At first sight, it looks like a few basil plants, but upon closer inspection, you can see the purple stems and flat leaves, similar to mint. The taste is also a little more aromatic.
This bushy basil features narrow, green leaves and dark red stems. The pleasant aroma, with hints of cinnamon and aniseed, is very popular in Asian cuisine. It can grow up to 40 cm tall and is a great source of nectar for bees.
Sowing:
Start from mid-April in small boxes placed in a warm location. Prick out to 5x5 cm. Plant out from May 20, spacing 30x30 cm (be cautious of slugs); for balcony cultivation, plant in pots. Harvest young shoots continuously. Frost-free cultivation is necessary.
Planting: From early June to early July.
Harvest: From early July until the end of October.
Seed packet contains over 200 seeds.
