Water serves multiple functions when sharpening tools with Tormek's water-cooled grinding systems. It keeps the steel cool, preventing it from losing its hardness. Steel particles and dust from the grinding stone are collected to avoid inhalation. The water reservoir for the T-4 is compatible with Tormek machine models that have a 200 mm grinding wheel: Tormek T-4, Tormek T-3, and Tormek 1200. Defective water reservoirs can be easily replaced with a new one.
