Spyderco Roadie

In early 2013, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced a plan to allow knives on airplanes again. Although the plan was later withdrawn, Spyderco was ready with a unique new design called the Roadie. Essentially, it is a highly advanced pocket knife featuring a slipjoint lock. The locking mechanism, known as the slipjoint, works by keeping the blade open through the pressure of a spring on a flat spot on the tang. The Roadie sets a new standard for modern folding knives and is available in various colors.
