Product details
When it comes to maximum reliability and ease of use, our wood construction screws come into play. Their strengths, such as a significantly reduced driving torque and very low splitting effect, are particularly sought after in timber construction, as the large wood dimensions typically used allow for a quicker insertion of the wood screws, resulting in real time savings. We especially take advantage of this in structural timber construction, where our partially and fully threaded screws are used for high-load and durable wood connections. The great advantage of such a screw connection is that the usual metal fasteners and fittings for wood connections are completely eliminated. In addition to cost-effectiveness, the significantly more pleasant pure wood appearance plays an important role. This means for you: You save a lot of money on expensive wood connectors that do not contribute positively to the aesthetics of a timber structure. You can create high-load and durable wood connections in the simplest way. For the fastening of stairs, wooden building elements, or battens in roofs and walls, high holding forces are especially important. Our universal screw with a flat head and partial thread provides that. The large SPAX flat head pulls two components together with great force, while the optimized partial thread is tailored to the high load-bearing capacity of the flat head. We have adjusted the shaft length to the most common wood thicknesses. The interaction of the large flat head and optimized partial thread allows for a reduction in screw diameter (5 mm instead of 6 mm) while maintaining the same load capacity. This naturally benefits the driving speed. This means for you: Smaller screws are sufficient for the same application, saving you weight, time, and costs.
