The universal screw is the ultimate all-rounder in SPAX's range. It can do almost anything – for example, it can be screwed into softwoods like spruce and pine, as well as into common wood-based panels (MDF, chipboard, and OSB boards) without the annoying need for pre-drilling. Our universal screw particularly excels in interior construction and furniture building, but it can also be effectively used outdoors with the appropriate corrosion protection. Thanks to its special thread geometry, the driving resistance when screwing is significantly lower than that of conventional screws, which not only saves your energy and nerves but also extends the battery life of the screwdriver in use. Splitting of the wood near the edges is almost completely prevented. This means for you: You can drive more screws per battery charge, and you no longer have to worry about split wood ends!.
