Single action thrust ball bearings are suitable for absorbing axial loads in one direction and can support the shaft on one side, but must not be placed under a radial load. They consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. Due to their design, the bearings are not self retaining; the bearing parts can be installed separately and therefore easily.
Cage made of steel sheet metal.
