SKF Needle Bushings, HK 0408 4x 8x8
Type HK needle bushings are needle bearings with a thin-walled outer ring made from a chipless manufacturing process. Their key features include a very low cross-section height and high load capacity. They are primarily used in applications where the housing bores cannot serve as raceways for needle cages, and where space-saving and cost-effective bearings are desired. They are pressed into the housing bore and fit securely. This allows for the housing bores to be manufactured simply and economically when no shoulders or retaining rings are needed for axial fixation. The outer ring, made of hardened steel sheet, and the cage-guided needle cage form a self-supporting unit. Main dimensions: ISO 3245:2007 / DIN 618-1:1993 / DIN 618-2:1993, as far as standardized.
