The SIRIUS 3RW52 General Performance Soft Starter is ideal for simple applications requiring a gentle start and stop of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for smooth starting, reduces current spikes, avoids voltage fluctuations during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters. The soft starter is maintenance-free and easy to handle.

The integrated bypass enables a compact design, saves energy, and ensures lower heating in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor from overload. Furthermore, the current during startup can be limited to an adjustable maximum value. Thanks to the three-phase control, it is particularly suitable for large motor capacities and root-3 circuits. The innovative Soft-Torque function ensures a gentle motor startup. With the integrated remote reset, faults can be quickly and easily resolved from a distance.

The General Performance Soft Starters 3RW52 are designed for networks up to 600 V in a power range up to 560 kW with 24 V or 110-250 V control supply voltages and come with screw and spring-loaded connections. Different device variants are available for analog output and thermistor motor protection. Optional plug-in communication modules allow connection via PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and ModbusTCP.
