The SIRIUS 3RW55 High Performance Soft Starter is designed for demanding applications that require smooth starting and stopping of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. It offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, is maintenance-free, and easy to handle. The integrated bypass enables this compact design, saves energy, and ensures lower heating in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor from overload. Additionally, you can limit the current during startup to a configurable maximum value. Thanks to three-phase control, it is particularly suitable for large motor powers and star-delta circuits. The innovative torque control ensures optimal motor acceleration. Simple and quick commissioning is possible through auto-parameterization or an application assistant. Predictive maintenance planning is facilitated by condition monitoring. A detachable HMI with a color display provides clear measurement and diagnostic displays. Worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA) are available. The High Performance Soft Starters 3RW55 are available for networks up to 690 V in a power range up to 560 kW with 24 V or 110-250 V control supply voltages, featuring both screw and spring-loaded connections. An analog output and thermistor motor protection are standard features of the High Performance Soft Starters. Optional plug-in communication modules allow for connections via PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and Modbus TCP. The built-in HMI module can also be mounted on the control cabinet door.
