SIRIUS Soft Starter S0 32 A, 18.5 kW/500 V, 40 °C AC 400-600 V, AC/DC 24 V. Spring-loaded terminals, thermistor motor protection. The SIRIUS 3RW40 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle start and stop of three-phase asynchronous motors. It enables smooth starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, is maintenance-free, and easy to handle. The integrated bypass ensures a compact design and lower heating in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor from overload. The current can be limited to an adjustable maximum value during startup. With the integrated remote reset, faults can be quickly and easily resolved from a distance. Worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA) are also available for explosion-hazardous applications (ATEX or IEC Ex). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V across a wide power range with different control supply voltages and are consistently equipped with screw and spring-loaded connections. The 3RW30/40 series includes additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44 models, also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, including variants with spring-loaded connections.
