SIRIUS Soft Starter S2 45 A, 30 kW/500 V, 40 °C AC 400-600 V, AC/DC 24 V. Spring-loaded terminals, thermistor motor protection. The SIRIUS 3RW40 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle start and stop of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations in the supply during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching, and easy handling.

The integrated bypass enables a compact design and ensures lower heating in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor from overload. Furthermore, the current during startup can be limited to an adjustable maximum value. With the integrated remote reset, faults can be quickly and easily resolved from a distance.

The soft starter has worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA) also for explosive environments (ATEX or IEC Ex). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V in a wide power range with different control supply voltages and are consistently equipped with screw and spring-loaded connections. For the 3RW30/40 models, there are additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection.

With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, even for the variants with spring-loaded connections. The optional fan allows for an even more compact design in the control cabinet. Simple, efficient, always up to date - the SIRIUS system modular concept.
