Stepless starting, reducing current peaks, avoiding voltage fluctuations during startup, relieving the power supply network, reducing mechanical stress on the drive, significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching, and extremely easy handling. The integrated bypass enables a very compact design and ensures lower heating in the control cabinet. The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V in a wide power range with different control supply voltages and consistently with screw and spring terminals. The 3RW30/40 series includes additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, even for the variants with spring terminals.
