Sinamics G120 power module PM240-2 unfiltered is designed with an integrated brake chopper for 3AC 500-690V +10/-20% 47-63Hz. It supports high overload of 75kW at 200% for 3 seconds, 150% for 57 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds, with an ambient temperature range of -20 to +50°C (HO). For low overload, it supports 90kW at 150% for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds, with an ambient temperature range of -20 to +40°C (LO). The dimensions are 708 x 305 x 357 mm (HxWxD), and it has an FSF protection class of IP20 without a control unit and operating unit, approved from CU firmware version V4.7 HF8.

The Sinamics PM240-2 power module is ideal for standard applications in mechanical engineering as part of the Sinamics G120 modular frequency inverter, which includes a power section, control unit, and operating panel. The PM240-2 modules, with protection class IP20, feature a brake chopper for four-quadrant applications and are suitable for a wide range of general mechanical engineering applications.

The PM240-2 power module can be flexibly combined with various control units based on application scope and safety requirements (e.g., STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). When combined with the CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2 control units, it forms a functional Sinamics G120 frequency inverter.

The PM240-2 is a built-in device for control cabinets, with a power range from 0.55 kW to 250 kW, and is available in three voltage variants: 200 V, 400 V, and 690 V. The power modules are offered unfiltered or with an integrated class A mains filter, in seven sizes from FSA to FSG. Additionally, the power module is available in a push-through version to optimize heat dissipation outside the control cabinet. The sizes also feature Safety Integrated capabilities. Due to its robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 meters (size FSF/FSG) can be achieved. Shielding plates and shield connection sets are available for EMC-compliant wiring.
