The short-circuit and earth fault indicator with directional indication measures voltages via capacitive voltage dividers (LRM voltage testing systems) and is suitable for low-power current sensors according to IEC 61869-10 and IEC 60044-8. It features 1 digital input and 2 digital outputs, as well as the measurement and calculation of values U, I, P, Q, S, f, cos phi, and energy counting values. Communication is via Modbus RTU, and the power supply is DC 24-250 V/AC 230 V.

The digital short-circuit indicator with measurement function is designed for medium voltage switchgear. The key to continuous improvement of power supply is accurate knowledge of the conditions of the local energy supply network.

Operation: The SICAM FCM (Feeder Condition Monitor) is a short-circuit and earth fault indicator with directional indication that operates with protection algorithms and small signal converter technology according to IEC 60044-8 / IEC 61869-10 or can be powered by conventional 1 A/5 A measuring transformers. Alternatively, the SICAM FCM can also be connected with a capacitive voltage tap to achieve cost-effective directional fault detection in the cable network.

Additionally, the SICAM FCM provides the ability to supply current measurement values via the integrated Modbus RTU interface, ensuring precise assessment of the distribution network.

The cost-effective measuring device is optimized for use in low voltage switchgear and performs excellently as a power meter in the low voltage network. With its low profile, it is ideal for installation in low voltage switchgear cabinets.
