The SINAMICS power module, in combination with the appropriate control unit CU230P-2 and an operating panel IOP/IOP-2 (Intelligent Operator Panel) or Basic Operator Panel (BOP-2) or optionally a blind cover, forms the functional SINAMICS G120P frequency converter. Due to its high protection class, it can be used in harsh environments, for example, operating at ambient temperatures of up to 60 degrees.

The PM230 with protection class IP55 generates only low network feedback without additional measures and minimizes apparent power losses, ensuring automatic fault acknowledgment after a power failure. In addition to the energy benefits, it also protects the environment.

The PM230 power module with protection class IP55 is available for wall mounting outside the control cabinet, ranging from 0.37 kW to 90 kW. The sizes FSA to FSF of the PM230 power module with protection class IP55 are available with integrated Class A network filter for installations according to category C2 and with integrated Class B network filter for category C1 according to EN 61800-3.
