The Micromaster 420 features a single-phase 230 V input or a three-phase 440 V input. It is microprocessor-controlled and utilizes IGBT technology. The commissioning and setup are straightforward. The device is ready for immediate use with factory-set standard values. An optional control panel is required to change these standard values. A selectable switching frequency ensures quiet motor operation. The modular design offers a programmable and scalable analog input for 0 to 10 V, as well as a fully programmable relay output. An integrated Class A EMC filter is available for the single-phase type. There are external options for PC communications, control panels, or a Profibus communication module. Optional control panels allow for greater control, adjustment, and modification of parameters. The Flux Current Control (FCC) ensures good dynamic response and effective motor control. Fast Current Limitation (FCL) enables operation with a trip-free mechanism. An integrated DC injection brake is included. The acceleration and deceleration times are adjustable with programmable smoothing. The control loop features feedback via PI. There is a comprehensive range of protection functions, such as overtemperature protection and short-circuit protection. The manuals and software programs are provided on a CD that is only compatible with Windows NT and 2000.
