SINAMICS G120 control unit CU240E-2 PN E-type with integrated safety STO, PROFINET 6DI, 3DO, 2AI, 2AO, max. 1F-DI PTC/KTY interface, USB and SD/MMC interface, protection class IP20, ambient temperature 0 to +50°C without power module. The SINAMICS CU240E-2 PN control unit is designed for standard applications in general mechanical engineering for the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120. The CU240E-2 is part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120, which consists of a power section, control unit, and operator panel. The control unit is designed for all common applications with U/f or vector control, including sensorless basic applications in general mechanical engineering.

The CU240E-2 comes standard with the integrated safety function Safe Torque Off (STO) as well as safety functions SS1, SLS, SDI, and SSM, making it versatile. The control unit manages and monitors the power module and the connected motor in several selectable control modes. It enables communication with a local or central control system as well as monitoring devices and serves to connect all process-relevant auxiliary units and external components such as sensors, valves, and contactors.

The I/O interface, fieldbus interfaces, and additional software functions optimally support applications in general mechanical engineering. For intuitive series commissioning, there is a card slot for cloning parameter sets. By selecting the CU240E-2, the communication interface of the converter is determined. The following integrated communication variants are available: CU240E-2 with the protocols USS, Modbus RTU, CU240E-2 DP PROFIBUS, and CU240E-2 PN PROFINET and EtherNet/IP. The control unit can be operated with the following SINAMICS power modules: PM240-2 (0.55 kW to 132 kW) and PM240 (up to 250 kW).
