The SINAMICS PM250D Power Module is designed for the decentralized inverter SINAMICS G120D. Thanks to the regenerative capability of the PM250D Power Module in generator mode (electronic braking), energy is fed back into the grid instead of being converted into heat in a braking resistor. This saves energy, space, the complex design of the braking resistor, and its wiring. Additionally, the generated heat is reduced. An innovative circuit design ensures fewer harmonic network distortions. The use of a line reactor is eliminated, saving space and effort in planning and procurement.

Moreover, the PM250D Power Module is suitable for safety-related applications. In conjunction with a fail-safe Control Unit, the drive becomes a Safety Integrated Drive. The PM250D Power Modules are available in sizes FSA to FSC in a three-phase voltage range of 380 V to 500 V and in a power range between 0.75 kW and 7.5 kW.
