The SINAMICS Power Module PM240-2 is the ideal power module for standard applications in mechanical engineering for the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120. As part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120 (consisting of power section, control unit, operating panel), the PM240-2 power modules (protection class IP20) feature a brake chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are suitable for a variety of applications in general mechanical engineering.

The PM240-2 power section can be flexibly combined with different control units depending on the application scope and safety requirements (for example, STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). When combined with control units CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2, the functional frequency converter SINAMICS G120 is created.

The PM240-2 in protection class IP20 is a built-in device for the control cabinet with a power range from 0.55 kW to 250 kW, as well as in three voltage variants: 200 V, 400 V, and 690 V. The power modules are available unfiltered or with an integrated Class A line filter and in seven sizes from FSA to FSG.

To optimally dissipate waste heat outside the control cabinet, the power section is also available in a push-through variant. The sizes also offer Safety Integrated. Due to the robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 meters (size FSF/FSG) can be achieved. For EMC-compliant wiring, shielding plates and shield connection sets are available.
