Compact CO2 monitor with alarm for various applications in air quality monitoring, greenhouses, energy management, and research and education. The ECO 420-20 is an ideal measuring and warning device for moderate but non-hazardous concentrations. It is not a substitute for personal protective equipment that must be used in areas with potentially dangerous atmospheres. CO2 is measured using a high-quality non-dispersive infrared sensor (NDIR) through an opening at the device head.

Simultaneous display of time-weighted average exposure over 8 hours (TWA) or 15 minutes (STEL). Applications include monitoring CO2 for professions exposed to elevated levels: CO2 dosimeter over an 8-hour average TWA. Highly portable with a belt clip and carrying strap, as well as a 24-hour battery life.

Air hygiene monitoring with two adjustable alarm thresholds, with the first one usable as a ventilation alarm. In case of an alarm, the device beeps and flashes. For forced ventilation, the beeping can be suppressed for 5 minutes at the push of a button. Continuous operation is possible with a USB cable. Traceable reference device for checking the usability and functionality of simpler CO2 monitors.

The three-line LCD display offers ergonomic wide-angle visibility thanks to the backlight – both day and night. The HOLD function allows freezing of the display values.

Power supply is provided by 2 powerful AA NiMH batteries. The energy-saving design and configurable automatic shut-off ensure long operation. The configurable LCD backlighting offers additional energy-saving options.

Caution: Never enter potentially hazardous areas where the CO2 concentration may exceed 3% or 30,000 ppm CO2 without additional personal protective equipment.
