The PowerLogic PM8140 is an ION meter designed for front panel mounting (96 x 96 mm) in low and medium voltage applications, featuring an integrated display and AC/DC control voltage. It has been developed to ensure the availability and efficiency of your energy-critical installations. With modular, flexible, and powerful ION technology, individual applications can be created for each meter. It offers high accuracy, multiple communication ports, a web-based user interface, and a graphical color display. Certified by independent laboratories for class 0.2S accuracy in active energy (IEC62052-11, IEC62053-24, IEC62053-22). Cybersecurity features include secure protocols (HTTPs, sFTP, Secure ION), logging of security events, and Syslog logging. It allows activation/deactivation of communication ports and supports 50 configurable user accounts for access management. With 64 MB of memory, it supports up to 10 data logs (160 channels), 50+ customizable alarms, waveform capture with up to 128 samples/cycle, and 1/2-cycle RMS logging. The memory can also be used for custom web pages, Min/Max logs, energy trends, and operating hours. Event timestamps are accurate to +/-1 ms using time synchronization. Time synchronization methods include PTP (IEEE1588), NTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII (RS485), and network time setting functionality. It features 3 digital inputs and 1 digital output, with the option to add up to 4 option modules. The input/output option modules include 2 relays and 6 digital inputs or 2 analog outputs and 4 analog inputs. It has a wide control voltage range of 90-415 VAC / 110-415 VDC. Operating environment ranges from -25 to +70 °C, humidity from 5% to 95%, and operating altitude up to 3000 m.
