Magnetic contact detectors are essential devices for perimeter protection. They are used to protect doors, windows, and more by triggering an alarm when they are opened. The K-3 2E detector is designed for flush mounting, meaning its components are installed by screwing their aluminum enclosures into properly prepared holes in wooden or plastic door frames or window frames. The K-3 consists of two watertight parts: the reed switch (magnetic) sensor and the magnet, whose faces should be in contact with each other. Moving one part away from the other breaks the sensor circuit, which is indicated as a violation.

The K-3 2E is designed to work with any alarm control panel equipped with NC inputs and can also be used in automation systems as a control element.
