Product details

A robust, very large head lettuce suitable for spring and early summer cultivation outdoors, in a polytunnel, or in a cold frame. Summer harvest is also possible at higher altitudes.

Sow on a windowsill or in a cold frame; sowing in the open field should begin in mid-April. Only sow seeds indoors; planting too deeply prevents head formation. Before sowing or planting, incorporate some compost or vegetable fertilizer.

Direct sowing should be thinned to 25-30 cm apart.
