Easy sowing, no singling out. Simply place the seed tray on the soil in pots, cover it, water it and let it grow. It produces large leaves with a mild, peppery flavour that makes it indispensable for all tomato dishes and Italian cuisine.

This is an annual plant. Sow the seeds indoors near a window from March to April or outdoors or on the balcony from May to July. Press the seeds in, water them and cover them thinly with soil. Never allow the seeds to dry out.

Choose a sunny or semi-shady location. Place it indoors in the brightest place you can find. Water and fertilise regularly and do not allow it to flower.
