Product details
Anise, also known as sweet cumin or Roman fennel, is a plant that is difficult to cultivate. It is an annual and can be sown in pots or seed trays from March to May, or directly in the open ground from May onwards. By mid-May, it should be planted in a warm location in the open ground. During the growing season, the soil must be kept evenly moist, and the plant should remain free of weeds. Alternating dry and wet periods negatively affect the quality of the harvest. Flowers, stems, and roots can be used as a soup seasoning, while anise seeds serve as a spice for baked goods. When sowing directly, thinning should be done to a distance of 8-10 cm.
