The Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) is a true evergreen among houseplants. The name comes from the typical shape of the plant's spadix, which is surrounded by a single bract. This characteristic flower makes the Peace Lily an elegant eye-catcher. The bract in white and cream tones creates a truly decorative contrast to the dark green leaves. The Peace Lily thrives best when it receives consistent watering and must never dry out. The plant blooms in spring and late summer, but requires good care for this. During the blooming period, the Peace Lily should be regularly supplied with flower fertilizer. The plant avoids direct sunlight and is also very happy in a darker location. The Peace Lily does not like cool temperatures, and the temperature should not fall below 15 degrees Celsius even in winter. High humidity is also one of the care factors for the Peace Lily, making it well-suited for the bathroom. Otherwise, you can mist the green leaves with low-calcium water. Is the pot too small? The best time to repot is in spring. Preferably, plant the Spathiphyllum in potting soil made from coconut fibers. The bathroom is the perfect place for the Spathiphyllum: low light and high humidity!.
