The step drill bit with specially developed FLOWSTEP® technology allows for seamless transitions between different diameters. Each individual step features a specially designed back taper that guides the step drill bit smoothly and precisely to the next step after drilling through each stage. This results in a noticeably smoother and quieter drilling process. The deeply ground and spiral flutes provide absolute stability and high cutting performance. In particular, non-breaking chips are removed cleanly, similar to a spiral drill bit. This reduces the formation of built-up edges and cold welds on the cutting edges. The cone shape facilitates retraction when drilling through sheets.
