Product details

Machine tap made of cobalt alloyed high speed steel. Due to the higher hot hardness resistance, a longer tool life is achieved. Suitable for through-hole and blind-hole threads in unalloyed and alloyed steels up to 1000 N/mm² strength and non-ferrous metals. The thread is cut in one operation. Similar to HSS high-speed steel, it contains 5% cobalt alloy. This heat-resistant material is used for machining materials with higher strength and for long cutting channels that generate significant heat. The cobalt content of 5% provides higher heat resistance and increased load capacity.
