Polyester (PET) is opaque and easy to weld or glue. It is an excellent electrical insulator and can be easily chipped or polished. However, it does not have long-term resistance to hot water at 60°C. This rigid thermoplastic has a high storage capacity and excellent sliding properties, making it wear and abrasion resistant. It is also resistant to acids, solvents, and chemicals, suitable for all bearing, bushing, gear, and insulator applications.
