RS Pro HSS tap with straight flutes are a selection of high-quality and professional taps that are ideal for cutting threads by hand or machine in drilled holes in materials such as metal and wood. RS Pro taps are made from high-speed steel (HSS) and offer excellent durability and corrosion resistance. They are available in a variety of metric sizes to suit a wide range of applications and are compatible with tools such as a tap wrench or power tools for improved torque and better control. RS Pro taps also feature a secondary thread cutting angle of approximately 8°, allowing for a gradual and precise thread cutting process.
