Product details
A fuse is simply a short wire that melts and breaks when there is too much current flow. They have been used as important safety devices since the early days of electrical engineering and are often abbreviated as ADS (automatic power supply interruption). In all areas of electronics and electrical engineering, a fuse is an electrical safety device that protects an electrical circuit from overcurrent. A typical fuse consists of a metal strip or fusible wire that is connected in series and conducts current through the protected circuit. The fuse element is usually made of zinc, silver, aluminum, copper, or alloys, providing stable and predictable properties.
The breaking capacity of a ceramic fuse is higher than that of any other fuse. Ceramic fuses can be used in circuits with high current and also provide protection against overheating.
