Product details

Even if you have limited space in your garden, you don't have to miss out on healthy fruit! This columnar apple tree thrives even in pots on the balcony or terrace. The container holds 7.5 liters.

It prefers semi-shaded to sunny locations and nutrient-rich soil. It's important to water the plant regularly and allow the soil to dry out in between. The columnar apple 'Rondo' has good frost resistance. Planting should take place between March and November.

The cultivated apple belongs to the rose family and can reach a height of up to 15 meters. However, the typical height is between 2 to 3 meters. The plant produces light pink flowers from April to May.

The green-red fruits have a sweet-tart flavor and are suitable for consumption. The harvest season begins in October. The large fruits are round in shape. The crisp flesh is yellow, and the skin is smooth.

On very hot summer days, you can water the plant twice a day. It's best to do this early in the morning and late in the evening to prevent leaf burn. Ideally, you should fertilize the plant between March and April.

With its sprawling crown, the cultivated apple also provides welcome shade in the summer garden. The cultivated apple originated from the wild crab apple, which still grows in the wild today. There are also suggestions of crossbreeding with the Asian wild apple.
