Product details
This E-Papillon complete fixture from Phillips is essential for professional plant cultivation. This high-pressure sodium lamp can only be connected to 400 volts. The E-Papillon complete fixture should only be operated with a Phillips Greenpower EL 400V bulb to achieve its full performance.
By utilizing the open reflector concept and employing the Philips Green Vision ballast along with the Philips Green Power lamp, high reliability and minimal energy consumption are achieved. The Philips GreenVision Technology of the electronic ballast truly shines when used with the Philips Greenpower 600W EL lamp. Together, they produce 34% PAR light, 34% infrared heat radiation, and 32% convection heat.
The optimized reflectors distribute PAR light and infrared radiant heat in the same manner. Unlike radiant heat, convection heat (air heat) is an indirect form of heat transfer. The heat generated at the lamp's surface is not directly transferred to the plant but rather indirectly through the air in the greenhouse as a transport medium.
The use of the open reflector concept creates a natural airflow that gradually distributes heat to the surroundings, preventing hot spots on the plants. Excess convection heat is thus dissipated and does not return to the lamp.
With 400 V, no choke coils are needed, and more lamps can be connected per phase since the inrush currents are lower. Includes lamp. The new version of the E-Papillon can be operated at both 230 and 400 V.
