This E-Papillon complete fitting from Phillips is the be-all and end-all of professional plant cultivation. This high-pressure sodium lamp can only be connected to 400Volt.
This E-Papillon complete fitting should only be operated with a Phillips Greenpower EL 400V bulb in order to exploit the full power.
By using the open reflector concept and the Philips Green Vision ballast and Philips Green Power bulb, high reliability and minimum energy consumption are achieved.
The PHILIPS GreenVision Technology of the electronic ballast unfolds its true power when used with the PHILIPS GREENPOWER 600W EL lamp. In combination, they produce 34% PAR light, 34% infrared heat radiation and 32% convection heat.
By using the optimised reflectors, the PAR light and the infrared radiant heat are distributed in an identical way. In contrast to radiant heat, convection heat (air heat) is an indirect form of heat transfer.
The heat that is generated on the surface of the light source is not transferred directly to the plant, but indirectly via the air of the greenhouse as a means of transport. By using the concept of the open reflector, a natural air flow is created, which ensures that the heat is gradually distributed to the surroundings and prevents warm spots from developing on the plants. The excess convective heat is thus dissipated and does not return to the lamp.
With 400 V, no blocking chokes are required and more lamps can be switched per phase as the switch-on currents are lower. Bulb included. The new version of the E-Papillon can be operated with 230 and 400V.
