Ricoter Biochar

Application:

For flower and vegetable crops, apply 5–10 l/m² of biochar once per site before planting and work it into the soil. When laying a new lawn, spread 5–10 l/m² of biochar over the topsoil once per site and work it into the surface. In planters and for rose and shrub plantings, mix biochar into the growing medium or soil at a ratio of 1:10 before planting. When setting up or turning a compost heap, mix in 5–10 per cent biochar.

Activate the biochar before use by mixing it with compost in a ratio of 1:10 and leaving it to stand.

Effects of biochar:

Soil structure is improved. Biochar has a highly porous surface and can therefore store water and the nutrients dissolved in it. Microbiological activity in the soil is promoted. The carbon stored in biochar is hardly degradable by microbes and is therefore bound in the soil over the long term, which has a positive effect on the climate.
