Yes, that works. In addition to the "Unlock" function, there is also the "Open door" function. This function not only retracts the locking bolt, but also the retaining bolt. The "hold time" can be set in several steps from 1 second to max. 30 seconds.

The Nuki Smart Lock Pro cannot automatically recognise when the door is closed from the outside if the key remains still on the inside. It requires manual adjustment or a door status check to ensure that it is working correctly. If the Nuki remains in the "open" position after the door has been closed from the outside, it must be manually moved to the correct position to open the door again. I am not absolutely sure as the exact details on how to automatically adjust to such situations are not included in the information provided. It might be helpful to consult the official Nuki documentation or customer service for more detailed information.

The Nuki Smart Lock is generally compatible with many common cylinders, including those from Dormakaba that you mentioned. However, it is important to check whether the specific mechanism of your door with the emergency exit function and the retaining bolt works with the Nuki Smart Lock. The Nuki adapter serves as a connection between the cylinder and the Smart Lock, but it might require special adjustments or checks to ensure that all functions work correctly. It would be advisable to discuss the specific requirements of your door with a professional to ensure that the Nuki Smart Lock is correctly installed and functional.

Yes, it works(ed) for me with an Apple TV as a border router. However, it wasn't quite 100% reliable (sometimes no remote connection possible), so I'm using WLAN again for the time being.

As the key is not in the lock when it is locked via Nuki, you cannot push the inner key. It would also be stupid because Nuki would then no longer be able to turn the inner key. I hope I have understood you correctly 🧐😉

If you mean a snap lock, I'm sorry to tell you that it doesn't work. I tried this myself and was unsuccessful. Nuki can only work with a normal key/knob cylinder, either open or closed.

Helpful answer

Neither the old nor the new Nuki blocks my rotary knob in such a way that I can no longer open it with the A-key. Only during the locking process is it difficult to hold it open with the key. However, if someone holds the knob or the Nuki from the inside, it cannot be opened with the key. The Nuki has no freewheel.
