The dimensions are often given as length x width x height, which is why we specify them in this way. The length is the width and the width is the depth.

mine is on the balcony under the roof and i think it's good that way... i haven't tried it out if it's waterproof outdoors, but i'm afraid not, especially "it" is very light and can easily be blown over by a gust of wind... not that i think "it" is bad, on the contrary, it's excellent for my use as a gas bottle storage next to the barbecue...
If you press your foot on the bottom of the doors, they jam and close, but it's not really the best in terms of doors, but don't forget that it's plastic...
