Product details

The Yucca Elephantipes is a large houseplant that originates from Central America. This species of palm is often cultivated in large nurseries deep in the rainforest. The Yucca gets its name from its heavy rhizome, which resembles elephant feet. The leaves of the Yucca Elephantipes are thick and fleshy with a sharp, finely serrated edge. The lower leaves of the Yucca naturally die off as the houseplant grows. These should be carefully removed to maintain a tidy appearance.

Care
The Yucca is one of the easiest houseplants to care for, as it does not require much water. Watering the plant every two weeks is more than sufficient. It is very important that no water remains at the bottom of the pot, as this can cause the roots to rot. The Yucca prefers a bright location but be careful not to expose it to direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to discolor. Every two to three months, the Yucca needs adequate nutrients to keep its leaves looking lush and green. Please note that the plant is toxic to both humans and animals!

Size
The plants are delivered with a height of 50-60 cm, measured including the growing pot. The plants come in a growing pot with a diameter of 14 cm.
