Product details

The Pepino Gold (Solanum muricatum) is a unique and original plant for your home! The fruit is also known as apple melon or melon pear due to its color, shape, and taste. The Pepino has a wonderfully sweet flavor reminiscent of a melon, with sweet and firm flesh. The melon pear originates from the highlands of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, where it is cultivated at altitudes of 900-2800 meters. The fruit is very healthy and contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B11, and C. Pepino pairs deliciously with various cheeses and herbs, but it can also be used as a fruit in desserts or cakes.

Care
If the Pepino Gold is well cared for, the plant can produce many fruits. Give the plants a sip of water regularly. Additionally, the melon pear can bloom very quickly, sometimes within 4 months. As with tomatoes, it is advisable to regularly pinch off the leaves to allow more sunlight to reach the fruits and help them ripen better. By August, the first fruits will be ready to enjoy!.
