Plant in a Box Pineapple comosus 'Mi Amigo'

The pineapple plant 'Mi Amigo' gives rooms a tropical atmosphere. A real pineapple protrudes from its graceful green leaves. Originally, the pineapple plant comes from the jungles of Uruguay. Nowadays it is often seen in the home, especially in bedrooms, as the 'Mi Amigo' is effective against snoring. The scent of the pineapple plant has an expanding effect on the airways and the plant produces extra oxygen at night. The enzyme that the pineapple plant releases at night is good for your health. As soon as the pineapple is ripe, it falls off the plant. Please note that the pineapple is not grown for consumption, but as an ornamental plant. This means that the pineapple is not edible. Of course, this does not make the plant any less attractive; it is still a very beautiful sight.

Care
Because the 'Mi Amigo' pineapple plant comes from a tropical environment, it requires a high level of humidity. It is therefore advisable to water the leaves regularly. Always water the pineapple plant at the centre of the plant and on top of the soil. It is best to keep the soil moist without the plant standing in a layer of water. The plant should preferably not be placed in direct sunlight, but also not in full shade. The pineapple plant is not poisonous to humans or pets. The plant will not grow too much, so it does not take up much space. A very simple but special houseplant.
