Product details
The passionflower is native to northern Argentina. In tropical and subtropical regions, it is a well-known plant for its sweet fruits, which are also known as passion fruits. Delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The fruits taste fresh and sweet-tart. The plant not only produces delicious fruits but also unusual, large flowers. These flowers bloom from May to September. The fruits follow, typically from September to October. The Passiflora is moderately winter hardy. The passionflower is a climbing plant that attaches itself to a trellis or wall. It is strong and fast-growing, with many flowers. Additionally, it makes an ideal potted plant but can also be planted outdoors. Passiflora plants can grow up to 3 or 4 meters tall. Passiflora is also very attractive to bees and butterflies. The Passiflora XL Victoria blooms from May to September with striking violet flowers.
Care instructions: The Passiflora has no complicated requirements. It grows quickly and is not demanding in terms of soil and nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the Passiflora is toxic to pets.
