Product details
The passion flower (Passiflora edulis) is native to northern Argentina. In tropical and subtropical regions, it is a well-known plant due to its sweet fruits, commonly referred to as passion fruit. The delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The dark purple fruits taste fresh and sweet. The plant not only produces tasty fruits but also large white flowers with purple and blue stripes. These flowers bloom from July to September, with the fruits developing from September to October. Passiflora edulis is evergreen, meaning the plant is covered with green leaves all year round. It is a climbing plant that attaches itself to a trellis or wall, quickly covering it. They are strong and fast-growing, producing many flowers. Additionally, they are ideal for pot planting but can also be planted outdoors.
Care
The passion flower edulis has uncomplicated needs. It grows quickly and does not have specific requirements for soil and nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the passion flower is toxic to pets.
Size
The plants are delivered at a height of 25-40 cm, measured including the growing pot. They are supplied in a growing pot with a diameter of 9 cm.
