Product details

The passionflower (Passiflora edulis) is native to northern Argentina. In tropical and subtropical regions, it is a well-known plant due to its sweet fruits, commonly referred to as passion fruit. The delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The dark purple fruits taste fresh and sweet. The plant not only produces tasty fruits but also large white flowers with purple and blue stripes. These flowers bloom from July to September, and the fruits develop from September to October. Passiflora edulis is evergreen, meaning the plant is covered with green leaves year-round. It is a climbing plant that attaches itself to a trellis or wall, quickly covering it. They are strong and fast-growing, producing many flowers. Additionally, they are ideal for pot planting but can also be planted outdoors.

Passiflora edulis has no complex requirements. It grows quickly and is not very demanding in terms of soil and nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the passionflower is toxic to pets.
