Product details
The passion flower (Passiflora edulis) is native to northern Argentina. It is a well-known plant in tropical and subtropical regions because of its sweet fruits, also known as passion fruit. The delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The dark purple fruits taste fresh and sweet. The plant not only produces delicious fruit, but also large, white flowers with purple and blue stripes. These flowers grow from July to September. The fruits then grow from around September to October. Passiflora edulis is evergreen, which means that the plant is covered with green leaves all year round. It is a climbing plant that clings to a trellis or wall and quickly covers it. They are strong and fast-growing and produce many flowers. They are also ideal plants for planting in pots, but can also be planted outdoors.
Care
The passion flower edulis has no complicated needs. It grows quickly and makes no demands on soil and nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the passion flower is poisonous to pets.
Size
On delivery, the plants are 25-40 cm tall, measured including the growing pot. The plants are supplied in a growing pot with a diameter of 9 cm.
