Product details

The passion flower is native to northern Argentina. In tropical and subtropical regions, it is a well-known plant for its sweet fruits, which are also known as passion fruit. Delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The fruits taste fresh and sweet and sour. The plant not only produces delicious fruit, but also unusual, large flowers. These flowers grow from June to September. This is followed by the fruits from around September to October. The passionflower is very hardy, so the plant is covered in green leaves all year round. The passionflower is a climbing plant that holds on to itself and quickly covers a trellis or wall. They are strong and fast-growing and have many flowers. They are also ideal pot plants, but can also be planted outdoors. Passiflora plants can grow up to 3 or 4 metres tall. The Passiflora is also very attractive to bees and butterflies. The Passiflora XL Caerulea blooms from June to September with striking purple-white flowers.

Care instructions
The Passiflora has no complicated requirements. It grows quickly and is not demanding when it comes to soil and nutrition. The plant prefers a slightly moist soil and a sunny location with a little shade. However, the Passiflora is poisonous to pets.
