Plant in a Box Passiflora caerulea 'Constance Elliott' - set of 2 passion flowers
110 cmProduct details
The passion flower is native to northern Argentina. In tropical and subtropical regions, it is a well-known plant for its sweet fruits, commonly known as passion fruit. Delicious passion fruits appear in the first year after flowering. The fruits taste fresh and sweet-tart. The plant not only produces delicious fruits but also unusual, large flowers. These flowers bloom from June to September, followed by the fruits from September to October. The passion flower is very resilient, so the plant remains covered with green leaves throughout the year. It is a climbing plant that holds onto structures and quickly covers trellises or walls. It is strong and fast-growing, producing many flowers. Additionally, it makes an ideal potted plant but can also be planted outdoors. Passiflora plants can grow up to 3 or 4 meters tall. The Passiflora is also very attractive to bees and butterflies. Passiflora Constance Elliot blooms from June to September with striking white flowers.
Care
The passion flower has no complicated requirements. It grows quickly and does not demand high-quality soil or nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the passion flower is toxic to pets.
