Plant in a Box Monstera Monkey Mask - Affenmaskpflanze auf einem Stab
60 cmProduct details
This super trendy plant is a must-have for your interior. The Monstera Monkey Mask is the hipster brother of the better-known Monstera Deliciosa. This hanging plant is quirky and does what it wants with its cute little holes in the leaves and whimsical shapes. Because the holes in the leaves are so unusual, the plant has been given the name "Monstera", which means "strange" in Latin. These holes not only give the plant a special appearance, they are also very useful in nature. They prevent the plant from being blown over in a storm, as most of the wind and rain passes through the holes. The Monstera originates from South and Central America, where it often grows up tree trunks or meanders along the ground. This plant is therefore supplied with a moss stick on which it can grow upwards.
Care
The Monstera Monkey Mask is originally a tropical plant. Make sure that the plant's potting compost is always slightly moist. Try to spray the leaves of the Monstera regularly, this will prevent the edges of the leaves from drying out. The Monstera can grow very quickly and develop long branches with leaves up to several metres long. The plant prefers a bright location without direct sunlight.
